Net Promoter Score calculator
The classic loyalty metric asks one question — "how likely are you to recommend us?" — and turns the answers into a score from -100 to +100. Enter your response counts and the calculator does the rest.
Runs entirely in your browser — real, deterministic math. Nothing is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.
Your response counts
NPS is collected on a 0–10 scale: 0–6 are detractors, 7–8 are passives, 9–10 are promoters.
Counts only — no data is uploaded. For NPS with trended benchmarks and the reasons behind every score, ClientTell collects and analyses it automatically.
The scale runs from -100 (everyone a detractor) to +100 (everyone a promoter). Scores above +50 are widely considered excellent; below zero means detractors outnumber promoters.

Why NPS is worth tracking
NPS is a lagging indicator of growth: promoters buy more, stay longer and bring referrals, while detractors cost you in churn and reputation. It is not the whole story — but trended quarterly, it is a reliable canary.
The formula is unforgiving
Only promoters add to the score. A customer who rates you 7 out of 10 is counted as neutral — the score rewards genuine enthusiasm, not polite satisfaction.
The open question matters more
The score tells you what; the follow-up question tells you why. Teams that only read the number miss the reasons sitting in the comment box beside it.
One score, many segments
A blended NPS hides as much as it reveals. Split it by plan tier, channel or account size and the real story — where the enthusiasm and the anger live — appears.
